I'm looking for a set of the isolators to that sit.up top of the coil springs. I want a polyurethane and I can't find that for the Maverick but I did find a set for the 65-73 mustang. Will those fit?
Where you looking at replacing the rubber pads on the spring perches too? AFAIK, there are only the rubber pads on the perches and I do not know if you can just purchase them separately.......if the pads are worn on your perches, I would suggest purchasing new spring perches! OEM replacements are pretty inexpensive or you can upgrade to ones having "poly" type bearings which apparently act just like "rollerize" type perches, only much cheaper. I can't remember off hand who makes those "poly" type, but another member had posted, so you could probably do a search and find it. David
yea I need to replace the whole thing. i actually found a listing that shows it fits mustang and maverick so i'm good. I'm going to do a little upgrade on the material. thanks!
Here are those "poly" type spring perches: http://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/Store/Product/C4DZ-3388-HP.aspx?wid=141 or you can go all out with "rollerized" perches....... https://opentrackerracing.com/product/roller-spring-perches/ David
I thought the price difference between the two would be much more than $70 for something that will last a lifetime.... David
Hey by the way what coil spring compressor do you guys use? I used this Evertool 67050 I rented from O'Reilly's and it took way too long. With the way you're supposed to use it you can't get even a ratchet to it. is there one I can just take an impact to the damn thing from the top? Sorry I probably need to make a new thread somewhere.
Spacer is on top, gives less bolt to interfere on spring perch. Many compressors have a assortment of spacers.
