Its a street car, dont wanna go to crazy, but will trim any fat on there. Thanks Last summer i bought some of that mirra chrome paint so im gonna try it on a front bumper.
I never did it on the bumper. You need a super smooth surface and need to be a good painter. I used it on trim parts like taillight bezels. for them its ok. I dont think it would look good on a bumper, the way ive been doing it anyways. SNS chrome or something like that does it professionally and looks awesome.
most of the chrome paints ive used look like crap over a large area, there too flat. if you wanted to do some trim or an emblem you can get away with it but not a bumper
i would love to throw a set of fiberglass bumpers on my comet, but i just can't get past the fact that the bumpers won't be chrome... not that the chrome one my front is really even chrome anymore.
i wonder if fiberglass can be "chromed" the same way a chrome finish is applied to other plastic pieces and trim??
I wander when someone will be coming out with carbonfiber parts... weight of fiberglass and strength of steel.. can't beat that. or at least ABS or one of the more durable plastics... heard to many stories about fiberglass cracking.
