How hard would it be to take 76 year model granada bucket seats... and put 'em in a 70 Mav? I don't have any means of getting mav bucket seat tracks... No junkyards have 'em. If they do have Mavs, they're benches or else long gone. If i could find Mav bucket seats then I'd be using THOSE, don't ya know... So, can I beat the hell outta the floor-pan in places, weld a few brackets or mounts or stands in places, and eventually get some bucket seats to fit my Mavvy? Just got my ratchet shifter... must... have.... bucket seats.
If you want to use Mav seats they appear on Ebay occasionally. There is a set of LDO buckets on there now. They are not real nice & the headrests are missing. Not recommending that you buy these just showing that they are available. They are also listed for sale here occasionally. Good luck. see link below. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971...ryZ33701QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
No bucket seats will simply bolt into a 1970 Maverick. 1970 Mavericks had unique floor pans and were never available from the factory with buckets. Even if you find Maverick buckets with Maverick Seat tracks they will not just bolt in without modification ...
I ran across some info recently that the Granada buckets and seat tracks were same-same as the 75 up Maverick buckets and seat tracks. That being said, it helps anyone with a cat Maverick that wants buckets, but does little for you since you are dealing with a 70... I would doubt very seriously those seat tracks would be easy to mod into your car. The floorpan on the cat Mavs is really an F'd up design. I would grab the seats that you like, then put some tracks on them that would translate to your floorpan. You can drill and tweak just about any seat brackets to fit just about any seat. Start with something that requires much less tweaking is the point I suppose. Dave
