The mav is gone but i'm still here!
a W will fit but its much easier to change plugs if you shave the shock towers a M requires alot of modification

    What year 351w?
    What exact model tranny?

The year of the engine is not really important, I am just curious.
The model of tranny is important. A C4 is going to be the only 'good' fit.
    What year F150?
No matter what year, the oil pan would likely not fit.

As posted above... if you know it is a 351w, then it will go in with only the modifications needed to your car to take in a 302.
Swap headers are recommended. I have seen unshaved towers and stock manifolds used, but wouldn't know what the manifolds came off of (certainly not a truck) or if they needed modding.
A 351w uses all the same mounts, tranny parts, starter, pulleys, etc that a 302 uses. So the swap is fairly easy.
    Good luck
    Dave

dude i have no problem smoking tires in my car. i even have and open rear end with 2.79 gears and a strait six manual trans. so i imagine that there will be no tires left on your rims when you are done.:rofl2:

i have the "exhibition of speed" ticket that can vouch for that 6cyl/3spd/2.79 gears burnout

    Lol :rofl2:

My mav doesnt really like to go and it REALLY doesnt like to stop. It couldnt burn one tire if it was sitting in a puddle of oil.

351 w will fit. i had one in my 71 grabber. same motor mounts. need to be on a c-4 tranny or you'll have to make some mods. unless i were going to shave the shock towers i would stay with a 302 and maybe stroke to a 331 or 347.:)

i was shooting for a 408w and a g-force t5. notch the towers and do a cable clutch setup. hardest part should be the same as most people's... headers... if anyone has a junk set of sbf headers laying around, im interested in them as long as the flange and the upper few inches of the primaries is good, since it looks like im going to be making my own
