I'm in Suwanee, just off I-85 North. If your Maverick is drivable, feel free to bring it out to one of our meets, no matter what condition it's in. :Handshake I think you're right. My '72 is from Los Angeles, Calif. My '73 2 door is from Buffalo, NY, My '73 4 door is from Florida, and one of my '76 parts cars is from Knoxville, TN.
Thanks Jamie, I'm hoping with a hot battery, fluid change and tires I'll be able to drive it a little befor tearing it down. If so i would enjoy going to one of your meets.
Hawkco, So, how much is this application fee? Is it expensive or just peanuts? If it is the latter, would that be boiled or roasted? You guys are experts on peanuts. Jim
I prefer boiled peanuts. However, since we have this major drought going on, the peanut crop is minuscule, thus driving up the price. So, on the peanut currency exchange, paying your fee in peanuts will be about four times what it would have been last year. But, since Ray seems to be thoroughly pleased with your response, and will undoubtedly use it to increase his "pestilence" upon us GA guys (primarily me), an additional fee may need to be charged to compensate this enlarging annoyance. With that said, I have come up with three choices for you to pay your fee: 1. $100 2. 50 lbs of boiled peanuts. 3. Simply refer to Ray as the Grand Bay Geezer. Your choice.
Terry, Wow! You make it tough to be a Good Ole Boy!! Maybe I will just continue to pay the guard at the border the $5 each time I come through your state to get my daily visa. It would be cheaper. I would sure hate to offend someone as fine as Ray, even though he might be a geezer, like me, lol. I like Ala., too, especially Lake Martin, one of my favorite lakes. By the way, how can anybody eat 50 lbs of slimers and live to tell about it, whew!! Let me think about for awhile. Jim
