not sure. haven't played with any of the six stuff. but i would imagine you could as they use the same engines.

    Didn't the 74 use a Maverick bumper?
The grille is still hood specific though...
That is the only thing I see that would keep it from working.
Swap in a Mav grille, and it will bolt right on.
I will surely be corrected if I am wrong! :Handshake

Zane, are you needing a hood.
There is a member here that posted in a thread about the Moultre swap meet that he has a good Comet hood.
    Fwiw...

    Just curious...
If you want a Comet GT hood, why ask about Maverick hoods?

The Comet GT hood is just a Comet hood with a Cougar/Cyclone hood scoop on it.
If your Comet hood is pristine, then I would suggest just going over to Crites' website and getting a repop Cougar Eliminator/Cyclone/Comet hood scoop and bolting it on.
Lots of folks carry that repop, but Crites has some of the better prices out there.

:hmmm: This is the first time i've heard this one. They don't look identical to me...close maybe. Been awhile since i've seen the Cougar/Cyclone scoop. I recall seeing one with fins(?) or lines and another that was smaller with a grid in the opening...

I don't think the point is so pronounced on my GT scoop, but I havn't compared it...this one looks bigger also, again not sure.
    Now i'm curious...
    Kinda pricey!

Cougar Eliminator, Mercury (Montego) Cyclone, and Comet GT all used the scoop on the right in your post.
The other is a Ford Mustang scoop. It may have also spent some duty on 68-69 Torino/Fairlane hoods too, IIRC.

    Edit:
I don't know for sure, but the pic on the right looks wrong for a GT/Elim/Cyc hood scoop.

Maybe that is a Boss 429 scoop?
Can't tell from the angle of the pic.
But they had a point like that in front.
What you can't tell from the pic is how tall the scoop is.
A B429 scoop is HUGE... tall and wide.
