well some pot head kid with a super nice survivor 68 cougar totaled it over the weekend. i havnt seen it yet but he was hoping to get 250 for whats left of it. think theres anything worth grabbing? buckets, rear/center section, motor mounts. anything i should look for to make a few bucks on a resale while im at it?
If you can get it for 250... I'd buy it and part the car out on ebay down to the bare shell. I'm sure you could easily make alot more then 250 bucks off of it. Or, depending on how bad it's wrecked, and just how nice of a survivor it is, you could probably buy it and flip it to someone who would restore it. Regardless, I would think any 68 Cougar in half decent condition, wrecked or not, would bring alot more then 250 bucks. Those tail lights are cool (especially the sequential turn signals), but I don't think they would look right on a Maverick. My dad used to have a '67 Cougar with a 289, very neat cars.
what about those back up lights on the rear valance? i always liked those on stangs and wondred howd theyd look too
I could use the bucket seats and a few other parts for my 68 if you get a hold of it. I just up the road in Jersey. Let me know. Ken
heres what it used to look like so you guys thinking no on the tail lights? what about rear ends and other mechanical or interior pieces?
Disc brakes, lighting (what survived), rear chunk (rear end will fit a Mav, but on the wide side), seats, floor shift steering column may be adaptable to a Mav, console, etc so on...
I wonder how those front valance turn signals would look on a Mav??? They have a little more character than ours...
well I already have disc's so im good there you think it'll have a good ratio 8'' center worth grabbing. i doubt the seats will go in easy but i always likes the short back stang seats and a automatic center consol would be nice too
