I like the idea but does it actually shine in front of the dash so it is usable?

Not too sure what you mean. It sort of lights up the top of the dash a little, but mostly shines down on the trans tunnel, floors and the bottom of the seats. Right now I have the bulb pulled out of the original dome light. Has a nice look to it when you open the door at night and just the dash and floors are lit up. Of course I guess your screwed if an ax murder is waiting for you in the back seat or something. :rofl2: I've got another idea though for the back, I just need to go back to the junkyard to look at the parts and see if it's going to work or not.

I'm just kind of using this car to experiment right now with what I'll do in my '73.

I have a mirror out of a Beretta that has lights - I also have plans to install it. I also thought about installing an auto-dimming mirror, which I got out of a Thunderbird.

Wink mirror? I think the school bus I rode when I was a kid had one of those. I remember because that's how the driver knew when to yell at me because...err...nevermind :biglaugh:

I remember those days... I rode bus number 504, old man named Mr. Bagget was our bus driver. We would get a little rowdy from time to time, he'd call us a "bunch of knuckle heads". :D

I plan to do the dimming interior lights in my '73, too, as well as the remote entry like new cars have. Dakota Digital sells the control modules to make it relatively easy.
