I am not sure what to do with my 73 interior yet. Leave it bench and recover?, or go Bucket? I have a pair of Mustang buckets out of a 72. These would need recovering also, and seat brackets to work with a Maverick. I like the thought of Buckets, what have you done and what worked for Front and Rear? Input needed Pictures would be Great!!

    Thanks, Kirk :thumbs2:

I would double-check those seat tracks from the Mustang ... from what I have tried, they would likely place the seat too far back for most people. Also, the front part of the track bends down at an angle and fold over the seat riser in a 71-73 Mustang ...

I'm a bench seat guy myself. It's going to come down to which you are most comfortable sitting in.

I have '72 Grabber high back buckets in my '72. They are more comfortable to sit in then the bench I used to have in there.. with the bench I would start to get pain in my lower back if I drove the car more then 4 or 5 hours at a time. My only complaint with the high back buckets is they have practically no side to side support, you feel like you are going to slide right off them if you take a corner hard.

I like the bucket seats myself, but I may go with the bench for the Sprint and save my Grabber buckets for another project.:)

I like LDO buckets best, better padding than the older Grabber/Mustang seats plus they recline.Very comfortable.

I got some buckets out of a fox body mustang.
Driver side is electric. Talk about putting purfume on a pig. It will take a little doing but I'll get them to fit. Robert Raney told me about putting all thread up through the floor and making the seat adjustable to what ever height you need. Looks like it will work well.

All you guys that have black bench seats should immediately switch to a bucket and sell me the bench!

i like bench seats myself, next would be the LDO bucket seats for their comfort, then the 73-74 high back buckets seats. i personally just dont like the 71-71 Grabber high backs. they're slim with very little padding and like Jamie said, your butt will slide right out in hard cornering.
