    i feel a lil stupid for asking this.... has any one came to the conclusion if they are real or not???????? i dont want to have false hops of seeing one on my next trip to mexico.:cry:

    According to the literature and photos found they were real but only 300 produced. Nobody has stood up and said "I saw (or had) one" as of yet but our members grow daily. Maybe one day we'll find that member that can give us more info to prove them and maybe even find a survivor but I don't think any of us have real hopes of finding one. If one does pop up some day and it's proven to be real, I believe it will be the rarest Maverick/Comet(?) ever found and very valuable. The Comet Stabber being discussed on another thread would also make another rare one. I say keep looking though. There are some truly rare cars out there. Good luck! (y)

    Boy can you imagine being the guy that shows up at a MCCI or MCG , or NMCC meet with either a Shelby Maverick or a Comet Stabber, hell you would be the star of the show, throw in a Maverick Drag on Fly and the show could only get even better.:clap::bowdown:(y)

    its still a nice car and the girl was hot for her day the article looks authentic so there must be a shelby comet maverick grabber in mexico somewhere

    the quest has begun its time to go to mexico and find the shelby maverick comet gt. i must bring her back to america so i can drive her fast down a quarter mile drag strip.

    Im 3 hours from the Mexico border .....the cars in Mexico Rust out Pretty fast due to the high Salt in the air from the ocean, not to mention they are Very Rough and careless with there vehicles...if there's any Left it would be an absolute Amazement....i sure hope some at least survived, it would be the Ultimate find.
