JC Whitneys are great, good price and shipped fast and had one more leaf than my factory springs. Dont bash them into your shins when you carry them.

Did you get them yet? How did they fit? Mine went in like they were made for my car . Curious about the height and feel...

    Gene,

They fit great, but the car is still on jackstands while I attend to the fuel and wiring systems. However, jacking the axle housing up until it supports the car, it appears that it will sit a little lower than my original leafs did. Also note that I removed the short 4th leaf so I'm on 3 leafs...

I had mine rearched & add a 4th spring, locally. Paid $75 each & 24hr turn around. Plus they are arched 1" higher than stock. Gotta love the slight raked look.....

    hi,

I'm new here and I have been lurking around and reading up on Mavericks. I have a chance to buy one and I'm considering it.

Anyway, I saw this question on leaf springs and didn't see ESPO mentioned. I get my leaf springs from them. I even have a current price. Since I was considering buying a Maverick I wanted to look at rebuild cost.

    http://www.espo.com/
    The 3-leaf are $225/pr and the 4-leaf are $195/pr. for a 1970 Maverick.

And if you are curious the measurements:
    The Maverick is 2 1/2 x 23 9/16 x 31 7/16

Strange... I've never found leaf springs on ESPO's site. I've bought stuff from them before and they're great to do business with. (y)

    Sorry Russ,

Yes and No. I should have explain it better. Just email them and ask. A nice lady named Laura will reply. She just needs the year and model. They don't list them on the web site but they seem to be able to get most any leaf springs.

I'm also on a never ending quest to get leaf springs. I cancelled my JCwhitney order after a few months.
Is "MaverickConnection" on ebay a good business? I asked who makes those springs and Chuck won't tell me. But I don't mind the price if the product is good!

I called JCW yesterday to see if they had them in stock and was told they would drop ship by 4/19. I'll let you guys know if they actually ship on time. I called Laurel and they were out of stock and didn't know when they would get more. JCW was $195 including shackles and shipping.

I talked to John R Spring last week (the supplier to JCW) and they said they expected some in their next shipment. Sounds like it may actually happen. I finally put on the last set I bought over the weekend. I am happy with the quality. (y)
