Ok guys ive rebuilt the whole drum setup on the front of my car down to the hoses and now i picked up a disc brake swap at a deal and was wondering if it is possible to reuse my drum brake hoses on them?

I've never tried it, but if they will screw into the calipers, I don't see any reason why you couldn't modify the steel lines to make it work, unless they aren't long enough.

Wheel cylinder is located different ( at least mine were) and the brake hoses are just a tad short. They fit, but I wouldn't want to drive it that way. Since car is not drivable I have left them on for now but will be either replacing hoses or more likely hard lines before driving.

When I swapped to disc brakes the rubber hose that came on the caliper did not fit my steel line, the hose was too big. I bought adapter fittings at Napa. I don't recall if they were different length.

OK GUYS, I got one for you. I swapped 4-lug drums for 5-lug drums, because I could not find factory rims that were worth buying. Not only that, my drivers side flex hose was broken in two when I got the car. I could not get one nowhere. So, I got the front spindles and drums off a 73 4-door. I bought new flexlines for them, but they were not long enough, so I bought longer ones. That helped me alot, but now I have a new problem, the new lines won't screw into the steel brake lines. What could I do to solve this problem? Stumped In Texas.

    Get brass adapter fittings.

well I still have full turning radius but when I turn to limit the hoses are at a stretch.
I don't know if I could just relocate metal lines as my car had sat for 20+ years in a yard and the lines are pretty rusty and I will need to replace them anyway. I never determined if I could have made the original metal lines work. From memory I would have liked about 3" more hose to feel I wasn't putting stress on them by making hard turns.

After years of scrounging for Granada disc and scouring yards from dead Mavericks/Comets to perform brake swaps on other peoples rides, I'm planning on doing this to both my cars:

Seems a no-brainer to use commonly available brake components - cheaper too

I used 74 disc brake hoses when I converted the drums to disc's on my 73 with no issues at all, I even left the steel lines in the place that the factory bolted them to.

This is what I did as well. The 74 hoses fit my 71 steel lines, but had the proper end to fit the calipers. I had to rebend the steel line to the proper direction/location however.

well the drum hoses are long enough but the fitting where it screws in is 3/16 insted of 1/4 like the caliper.I ended up getting some disc brake hoses but then the metal line end was too big so i went to o reilly's and picked up 2 edelman 258340's line adapters 3/16 to 1/4 so i could use the disc hoses with my drum steel lines
