'86 Mustang parts?

    How interchangeable are interior parts between a 76 Comet and a 86 Mustang? For example, would the center console, carpet and such fit without heavy mods?

    I know the carpet will not fit. When I got my Mav it didn't have nothing but metal with a little bit of rust on the floor. A friend gave me carpet from an 86 Mustang to throw in there until I found the correct carpet.
