Has anyone tried any mercury grand marque rims? they are 16x7's usually with 225/60-16's, saw some at a pick n pull. I mesured the bs to be 4". think they would work? or is 4" to much for the front? they have that web/diamond design... thanks.

Uhh...I'm hoping you have a Grand Marquis to put them on.

That doesn't look to bad would be even better on a 2-door. It would be nice to find wheels that can go on without spacers... just trying to find some that can, and on a budget...

I think they'd look good. Paint the spokes black or charcoal!

There's a fellow Mavericker 3 blocks from my house that has a white Maverick with 80's Grand Marquis wheels. It looks good, kinda luxo-sporty.

Pretty sure that Toyota 5 lug truck wheels will fit a Ford.
So will the Explorer and Ranger wheels.

as far as the explorer or ranger wheels I was looking for something I can pick up cheap and would require little to no mods thus keeping costs down. preferably in the 16x7, 17x7, or something that will work on both front and back i.e. proper backspace as well... maybe 16x8 and or 17x8 assuming they would fit in front and back and not hit the fender... I've been going crosseyed trying to crossreferance and double check sizes and backspacing vs what I've read on here...

If they're off a 98-02 Grand Marquis (Panther platform, same as Crown Vics) they should work fine, depending on what size tire you use, there should be no rubbing. The factory size 225/60/16s should be a good place to start.

That "mesh" style wheel is a classic, popular design....much similar to the Trans-Am GTA's and Grand Nationals that are so sought after. They've also had that style on Corvettes, and Ford has used it too, on Saleen Mustangs, McLarens and others, not to mention the famous BBS racing wheels and Enkeis, which are no longer made.

Since the Mustang wheels are mostly 4-lug, and even if you can find the rare 5-lug, the offset is wrong for a Maverick, the Grand Marquis wheels are your best bet if you like that style, and would be unique on a Mav.
