It would depend upon the rear end. I know that the drums on a 73 are different compared to a 74, and just because I've had a few of each.

This car won't be any where near correct original. I was under the impresion this disc swap was expensive.

My big question right now is, what does it do to the rear wheel off set??

And that all bolts onto my rear end?

There is a very negligible effect on axle width, like maybe 1/4". Not enough to really have an effect unless your wheels and tires are already a very tight fit.

As for bolting on... 71gold wrote a tech article on this, but here's the basic rundown.

I had to trim my axle flange a little with a grinder, but for me, the brackets did bolt right on with the factory holes like they were supposed to be there. But I have lowering blocks. If you don't, you may need to "clock" the holes to clear the leaf spring. Not a very big deal.

You'll have to cut and re-flare the brake lines of course, and come up with an e-brake solution. Here's mine: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=55724

Overall this wasn't very hard, and having four disc brakes made a dramatic difference. Very worth it to me.

Thanks for all the info. I am going in this direction now that I have read up on it a bit. I will also be using lowering blocks, so hopefully I will have the same luck as you.

Where are you guys finding the used parts? We don't have any pick and pull yards around here. I can forsee having to buy a complete rear just to get what I need. Any sources for them elsewhere so I don't have to go through with an entire rear purchase which I would think to be more co$tly??
