    73 Maverick 2dr
    Which steering column is best to replace the existing a/t column shift. I wants to go to a floor shift.

    73 maverick 250 v6 with c4 and current column shift a/t.

    If you want a cheap fix you can remove the shift lever and cut it down. Once you cut it you can fill the hole with a good epoxy, smooth it and paint it.

    Thanks for the tip. I think that is what I will do. Do you epoxy where the shift arm and gear indicator are located? Do you have any pics you can post?

    I haven't looked too close at the column yet, still a long way from even thinking about it. I'll leave this in Chirt's capable hands since he's done it.:beerchug:

    I used body filler on mine. I wish i had pics of it being done but I don't. Anyways that's an easy thing to do! (y)

    I haven't actually done one yet, I got the idea from a friend that has performed this mod several times.
