i dont think they make those, but i could be wrong. everyone tries to fine good ones from members on the board
Someone (Tom Hackman?) said he used some from a Toyota that were really close. Don't remember the year/model. Maybe a search will find it.
what could i do or use in the meantime, while i find a car with the right size seals to take, so my interior doesnt get all wet? the origional seals are on there now but are quickly falling apart
It was a Honda Civic (i remembered this from the top of my head cause i remember all this random maverick stuff and i found the thread with the info)
It`s kinda pricey but you can make them with the door weather stripping. Just cut one end so it will be straight , start installing when you get all the way around mark it take it out and cut with a razor knife , you can use a little black silicone on the cut thats what I did and they came out ok. Auto Krafters has them, hope this helps.
I have a potential solution to offer. As a former parts guy at a John Deere dealership I know how to navigate their web site. They have a parts by spec look up and in there they have bulk weatherstipping. There are some good possibilities for use as quarter window seals. Don't mind the prices listed, normally it is sold by the foot (up to the dealership though) and the prices are for package quantities. Be prepared, if they don't stock it they may not cut it and sell you only what you need. I'm no where near ready for this step otherwise I would have made my way in to look at what they have.
Forgot to add that I think style 7 & 8 would be the first choice for a better seal with 3 & 4 being last ditch. The problem with 3 & 4 is the lip points to the inside once installed.
very neat idea, rick! that's definitely worth looking into. maybe we have a john deere employee here who can 'test' out some ideas.
