I have picked up a set of high back bucket seats from a 77 mustang II the seat are like new, Wanted to put them in lisa's 73 maverick. What am going to need to get them to fit. I have seat tracks from a 73 all ready. Is just a matter of changing the seat tracks. thanks austin's dad.

also picked up the 8 inch possi from the same car. will it just bolt in. or is just as easy to change centers. ???

ive never seen a high back in any mustang II they are all low back with raisable headrests they may possibly work with the stock maverick tracks.

as far as the rear you will be better off switching centers

Hmmm I'n not sure that is true I believe there where entry level mustang 2s with high backs like the ones they put in pintos, just going from memory though. Mustang 2s where built of the same platfrom as the pinto.

I've got some high back buckets that came from a Mustang II. They could be made to fit in a Maverick, but no where close to fitting as-is.

i would say you need to measure the spring pearches and total width on that rear because it should be narrower. as for the seats, if you can put BMW and lincoln seats in i dont see why you couldnt adjust pinto\m2 seats to fit as well...

That Mustang II rear will have 4 bolt wheel pattern and probably be narrower than the Mav rear end. If your Mav currently has 4 bolt wheels, Mustang II was a different pattern size ... IIRC.

It is easy to change the center chunks ... pop the axles out enought to clear the splines and change it out.

Cool that you got one with a posi ... Mustang IIs usually had pretty decent gears, too. I just scored a 3.55 out of one.

EDIT... Wheel pattern is different, but the axle is same width as 64-66 Mustang ... might be a tick wider. Spring perches are right on the money.

Seats ought to go right on the Mav tracks if they have the same bolt pattern ... most Ford seats do ... check it to be sure.
Highbacks and a posi ... must be a nicer Mustang II that you are grabbing parts out of. Most MII seats are those button-tufted lowbacks.
