Hey guys I saw this post on craigslist today and was wondering what would be beneficial to my Maverick. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/pts/1735923426.html
Floor shifter, also check the rear end. Those came with 8". here's how to decode them: http://www.mustangii.org/decoder/axle/ the bad news is that in 74 they did not come with the track-lok. the stock MII suspension is not really desirable, its the aftermarket MII kits that are..
For that price, if it was ANYWHERE near me, within a days drive, I would haul it home and pull the front end out.
Like maverick75 says, trying to make a Mustang II suspension to work in any car would require a lot of work. You will end up with more time and money than buying a rack & pinion kit.
I wonder why you couldn't use the factory front end pieces on an aftermarket crossmember? That is, unless they are worn out, then the only gain would be the spindles. You could adapt the seats and shifter to a Mav pretty easily.
