I searched and found an old post that said the 2 door and 4 door trunk lids are not compatible. Is there an easy way to distinguish the two?

They look totally different. The back edges don't have the same curve down to the tailight panel.

Just look in the gallery, and you'll see the difference.

This recently posted pictures showed the different angles so I copied it to here with a couple of two door pics from the gallery.

Thanks. Now that I know the difference I'll be on the lookout for a good 2 door trunk lid.

I'm disappointed in an aftermarket '69 Mach 1 spoiler that's now installed on mine. After painting, the hills and hollows in that spoiler are really noticeable. And the rust repair I did on my lid isn't perfect. Might be time to find another one and lose the spoiler.

Thanks. I'll try to find one locally to avoid high shipping costs.
