just got off the phone with Auto Krafters. I had put in an order for sport mirror pads April 13th and they are still on backorder. Today they told me they don't know when they will be getting any more and that they are the only company in the world they know of that sells them. Could this be true? Does anyone know any other store or type of car I can get the pads from? Thanks.

Hit an industrial supply/tool supply shop and get a thin sheet of rubber (or whatever they're made of) and make your own. Can't be very hard...

Yes they are the only company... Mustang pads wont work... But it could be months to years before AK gets them back,, last i heard was they had a problem with material and quit selling them.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
this is what i did on the falcon, since i didn't have any.

3M makes gasket sheet, to cut the hole's they sell punch sets at harbor freight for like 3 dollars. then you just trace the mirror base, mark it. And cut it with a knife. :)

awesome guys! Thanks for the responses! Looks like i'll be making some mirror gaskets. They said they had a problem with their supplier and then the product he made was of inferior quality. If they ever do get them, I get them for free cuz they gave me such a runaround.... buts I needs my mirrors. Thanks again!

I used a black plastic oil bottle. Just mark and cut. Same for my door lock cylinders and antenna till I got a good used antenna with gasket.
