Is there anything like this for the 1 64 or 65 comets. I believe they were built on the falcon frame. Thanks

I am trying to find the hood to cowl/fender bumpers, the round ones that go at the very back of the hood. I have searched autokrafters and can't find any that say they work on a Maverick. Are there ones that I can use from a Mustang or am I just missing the ones on the autokrafters website?

I can not answer your question..you'll probably have to get what your looking for from another maverick..parts for comets and mavericks are forgotten by the autocrafters, dearborn and the like. I guess comets and mavericks are not worth their time like it is ours.

I used the round feet from a printer, which fit just fine. I think it was an HPLJ2, if I am not mistaken. Been on there for years, and still working great.

You learn something everday..who would think feet from a printer would work...Then again who would think you could marry a Ford to a chevy..which we did when installing a five speed in my hubbys falcon..It was quite a learning experience..alot of falcon parts will work in mavericks and comets..Just a quick note on installing disk brakes..and if they are sticking. When changing the master cylinder shorten the rod (ever so slightly if its not adjustable) connected to the master cylinder under the brake foot. This will save alot of headache. We learned the hard way..and almost ruined our rotors..We spent 2 months trying to figure out why the front disk brakes were sticking. We have drums on the rear.No-where on the internet could we find the answer.

I had to download autokrafter's catalog for Mavericks and they had the part number listed there (380478S).

Anyone know if any other Ford exterior door handles fit our car? I was told Mustang ones will work but not sure what year to look for..

68 Mustang, sometimes you have to switch the inside part from your old handles to the new ones.

I believe the 68 mustang handles are similar; there may be a bit of difference but, they can be made to work. The internal parts, only.

If a 68 Mustang bumper is 2 inchs wider will a 65 mustang bumper fit?
I think its a little bit smaller.

I am trying to understand the front drum brake assembly for 74 Comet and its compatibility to other comet and maverick years as well as other vehicles. It is only listed as a disc for front brake assy. Then a couple of sections down on the list for front spindle we list 70 - 74 Drum...
Anyway I would really like to know if the front drum brakes on the 74 Comet are the same as 71-73 or any mustang. Thanks
