My 73 grabber has the stock shoulder harness. I am getting this car ready for my son to drive next year to school. I would like to put a front seat belt system that does not give an option to use the shoulder harness. Looks straight forward to do. Wondering if any body has all ready found a good fit?

So just the lapbelt? Its really not a good idea, if your ever rear ended your head will end up on your steering wheel. There are deaths that happen that way. A lot of guys dont like the shoulder harness because its uncomfortable and unadjustable. But the good news is that theres aftermarket kits that give alot more comfort. Also i wouldnt use junkyard seatbelts its just seems like safety hazard. And new ones are not even that expensive.

    Poor wording on my part

Just the opposite. I don't want him to have a choice. Shoulder belt and lap belt one piece

from Andover Restraints. Pick the length and style of buckle end, based on bucket or bench seats. I cut one side the plastic housing on the bucket seat ends so they would not be so tight against the tunnel - they are really more designed to bolt to the seat like on a late model vehicle. My only complaint really is the intertia locks are super sensitive, so you have to pull them out pretty slowly or they lock.

I looked at their site a lot when I was building my parts list -- in fact, their tech articles are great -- but they don't show a shoulder belt with a drop to get the pivot point lower.

Never seen a 70, but even if the factory anchor points are not there, they sell anchor plates you can weld into pretty much anything.

Can anyone clarify exactly what I need to purchase. I have '73 with a bench seat.

So from your post above and what the site states, all I need is...
    1) Lap Belt With Shoulder Harness
-With 8" Door Post Extension Bracket
    18" long (because it's a bench seat)

and that is it? no extra brackets or anchors required?

Since you have a bench seat, you should not need anything else. Even with my buckets, I didn't like the way the anchors they show in the tech articles held the belt, so I bolted them directly to the trans tunnel and cut the plastic housing to let it bend toward the seat easier. You might measure your existing buckle ends to make sure 18" isn't too long -- really though you have to make sure the end you get is long enough to reach up through the seat when it is as far forward as you will need it.
