I have a few questions and since i'm a Comet Man:D , i'm not sure about some of the parts that will or will not interchange. Are the hood latches the same between a maverick and a comet. Also, the grill mount, where the hood latch catches, are they the same? Last question (for now) are the skinny bumper mounts (early bumpers) the same? Thanks for any help on this!!

    hood latch is diff
the brackets are the same but there is an additional bracket
    on each side
the other thing you asked about is the same for both
but changed after 72 (big bumper )

I think the difference in the latch is the length of the release lever.

Thanks guys, i'm switching to a maverick hood/grill/bumper and was just wondering if I need to switch the hood latch or any of the other stuff....i'm assuming that the hinges are the same.

I know, I know....but the parts selection is so limited for comet front ends that it was kind of inevitable on my car....anyway, I like the looks of the maverick front end better and I like the looks of the Comet back end better so i'll have the best of both worlds!!:thumbs2:
