Thanks Darren.Thats an Encourageing message...By the way,the 303 is a great choice for a Street/strip cam..What heads are you useing?.I'm running close to the same combo C4 as you in my Mustang. It's stood up (so far)to the torque of 373 and 393 stroker ...Joe
Thanks for the welcome..I agree about your GT they are nice.Back in the 70's my wife drove a comet GT and I a Maverick grabber which I had to V8..It came with a 6 only at that time..Good luck with your projects...Joe
Joe, I know all about those old dog things and that's a pretty big boat your in but your not alone for sure. I'm in the front row, easy to find just look for the guy with the pointed hat. Pics are nice and most of the folks on here like to see them. Mark
from Northeast Pennsylvania Sounds like you're planning a lot of the same things that I did to my car
Thanks for the welcome..Did you have clearance problems with the power brake booster and tall valve cover on a taller 351 engine?for me right now it is an issue...Joe
My engine isn't a 351 W, it's a Cleveland and with using those tall valve cover, no booster will be fitting anywhere near that firewall In fact, I just bought a billet aluminum master cylinder and have to relocate it an inch or more outboard to get it away from the cover. I'll have to cut my pedal frame apart and rework it for everything to fit and work right. I know I'll have to remove the M/C if I need to take that cover off in the future. It's all fun, isn't it?
If it was easy,it woud not be unique nor an accomplicement to complete. It seems we're thinking parralell to each other.I picked up an non power brake pedal assembly from a 70/71 Maverick which pushs the booster rod straight out instead of an angle towards the engine.I believe it may also move the exit through the firewall outboard(hope, hope)allowing the booster/master brake to get clearance.I also got a small diameter Pinto/ Must.II booster to help with the clearence..Will this work?only when I get to it will I know...Joe
