Hey gran I was curious if you happen to know the measurements across from bolt hole to bolt hole on the frame stands? I seem to be having a little trouble getting everything to line up, I have the right mounts... Maybe I've got them on incorrectly. Still frustrated, any thing that might help?

Hey guys I have a new problem, well kinda back to the first problem... I ordered frame stands from Obsolete Classic Auto Parts, turns out they are not the same stands that i see that everyone else is saying is required. They are ordered out of a catalog for 49-72 full size Ford and Mercury. OEM# C5ZZ-6028/9-K the catalog says they are to fit 65-72 mercury small block 289, 302, 351W. I have talked to the manager for the company and he says the mounts should work, but i thought it would be best to ask someone that has done the swap and find out if the mounts i have bought, paid for, waited for, and spent countless hours trying to fit are the right or wrong ones. Please somebody lend a little knowledge, and some pictures would be great... Ill try to post some pictures of what i have and problems im having...

    oil pan

The mounts in the pic look like Mustang or 66-67 Fairlane.
Also a truck oil pan will not fit, its looks the same but it hits
the belly bar and the center draglink.
I have a Comet but when I buy parts I ask for Maverick stuff
    it is the same.

Well I guess there is no way to make these mounts work, any ideas, I've thought of a way to fo a little cutting and weilding and make them work in theory. The mounts are suppose to fit 65-72 mercury, what else would they fit, did they send the wrong mounts?

Get you a set of Maverick, Comet frame mounts. And sell the ones you
have. They look like ones on 67 Mustang that had I had.
