Ive got this little bitty problem :hmmm: It seems what i thought was an original 170 six in my 70 MAV. Turns out to be a 200 six out of a late 70s early 80s mustang and the carb on it has all kinds of wires hoses and what not hanging out of it and some idiot cut the exhaust manifold to make dual exhaust the back four goes out one and the front 2 goes out the other(please dont laugh to hard) the problem is I would like to find the original carb with nothing hanging off of it and i would like to find a manifold to make it a single exhaust again
Now to my problem. the salvage yards around here dont seem to carry that old of maverick stuff. and I need help finding stuff So please help:bowdown:

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Do you have a picture of the manifold? It sounds kinda neat! You can get anything you'd ever want from classicinlines.com usually it's pretty pricy though. So i always check mustangsunlimited.com to see if it's cheaper there. And you got the better of the six cylinders so you should be glad! And the value of the car will not be affected in any way by not having the original motor.

I have a 200 I6 out of a 70 sitting next to my shed. I will take $25 + shipping for the exhaust manifold. Need to be careful with the carb, I don't think the 70 carb will fit the newer head. I believe that the base plate bolt pattern is different in the earlier years. I have ran into this before. If you are interested in the manifold I could measure the bolt centers on the factory 70 200 so you could make sure you get the proper carb.
