Why are you replacing the Volvo controller?

Cause he needs to go to those meetings with Joedirt for car guys who just cant stop building. :dizzy::drool:

Actually its a real nice controller thats pulse width modulated/ controll'd. Means the programming abilities can be nicely fine tuned. PWM means the voltage is controlled digitally by cycling on and off (frequency). The longer on time the more voltage is supplied to the fan. Real common on new cars now for quite a few years.
I like that controller. I'd love to the infinite speed adjustment along with the temp adjustment.

Got it!! Actually, you've made me feel better about some things I've redone like all new drum brakes followed by all new front disks; de-rusted and painted original 14" wheels followed by de-rusted and painted 14" disk brake wheels followed by 15" Cragars; and rebuilt 5.0 replaced (if it sells) by 347 crate engine. Oh yeah, and the original AM radio replaced by an AM/8-track out of a '77, replaced by aftermarket, period-correct AM/FM/cassette. All in about 10 months. Now, if I can just get my wife to understand ... :D

States visited in 10 months: NC, SC, GA, FL and TN.

Thats amazing Frank. You should send your story into Car Crazy or something similar. I'm glad you posted that little history. I've often wondered how many changes its had. I like change on my car too. Difference is I change, say, a steering wheel, Tach or a stripe. You change a driveline. (y)

Why paint it. He'd just chip it with all the work he does on it.
