    i got a sender off ebay for an early mustang...$20.
    adjusted the float to read empty with 2 gals. in tank.
    i have used these on three diff. '76 tanks in my 73...:thumbs2:

    Thanks everybody, can anyone tell me does this tank take different straps than the ones on our '74? oops, sorry, should have read through the whole thread before asking that question.

    so i kinda got lost in all the different this year matches that year tank and sender and vent , could someone please tell me what year / part number to get my tank completed? i have a 72 maverick. only runnin headers so no worries about tank /exhaust clearance. just need a tank that fits good and a sender that works right. also which straps to use. thank you .

    You need a tank from 71-73. If you still need one let me know I have one.

    Get a late model tank w/sender, the only one you can buy new. Get longer strap bolts at the hardware store. Get late model vent valve to fit the new tank.
