Thanks everyone! I will double check wheels, and make sure it isn't pieced together. I am not worried about the interior too much, over time I intend to replace it all. It feels good to be so warmly welcomed. I can tell that this is a passionate group, and one that is small and tight knit. I look forward to picking your brains, and giving my input as well.
Check the vin number. That will tell you the year and other info. I find it interesting that it has the package tray when it is suposed to be a 76..?? Good luck.
Streetdeacon, I thought that deconding the VIN on these would show some info, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that it won't decode a Stallion or Sprint or stuff like that.
Thanks everyone. I know its a 76 its on the title, just not sure about Sallion. Im thinking not. The bumpers dont look right. On stallions they had those extra vertical stoppers...
The Stallion could have come with or without the bumper guards. The best way to determine if it may be a Stallion would be to get a Marti report on it. I just sold one of my three true Stallions. Still have the other two.
The seller says that the wheels are five lug, he said that it is fairly rare for a maverick. Is this true? Or is it just something that ford didn't do and I'm looking at mid matched parts?
The wheels on the car are not from a Maverick originally, the back ones are very deep, if I had to guess I would say the wheels are aftermarket for a Mopar, they look nice
I woulden't let the wheels worry me too much.I think they are a set of knock off chev ralleys that have the dual bolt pattern on them
:Handshake First and formost welcome from Utah! There are a few Maverick owners I know of near you Bart has a Comet and a 4 door Maverick in SLC, there was another member in Provo, Mark in Brigham and myself in Ogden. This looks like the Maverick that was for sale in Idaho at first it said it had a 347 and was a Stallion maybe come spring we can have our own mini-meet I like they handy fuse panel location too.
