I need help in getting a good shock. I replaced the rear springs with 4-leaps. The shocks on the car now may be bad, when driving and I hit a bump or dip it still like bottoms out. What is a GOOD shock to get. I don't want a soft ride, I want something with a little firmness. Also are there bump stops on the rear.
Someone else mentioned in one of these threads before about Monroe shocks leaking from the seals long before they should. I witnessed this first-hand myself now, so this time I'm going with Gabriels.
Your girlfriends been doing your best friend....thats a pretty good shock. Sorry couldn't resist. I have gabriels and find them very good...
They are located just behind the rear tires, right above the axle mounted on the frame. They are rubber.
Just adding to everyone else's posts, you should not even be close to needing the bumper pads! Are you carrying a lot of weight in the trunk? There is something that I'm missing here! Do you have wide tires on?
