Wow that's a really good write-up! Thanks for sharing that! (y) I'm planning on putting an AOD into my next Maverick.

But getting back to the original question, it depends on what you want. Fun vs. Ease of Driving. Weigh the pros and cons.

I know, but back in the day I was good friends with an older junkyard owner, Francis Flemming was his name and he owned Flemmings junkyard, now this was a true junkyard, every kind and age of car was there along with trucks from the 40's on up, tractors and bulldoziers, u name it it was there, stacked on top of each other four high, anyhow he thought a car with the words Grabber like mine was funny as hell, laughed everytime he saw that word on it, well that where I got my parts, he would never let me pay for them he would just say "I'll get it next time" well next time never came and this went on for years, ok to the point, he made sure I had a four speed in my car, 11" clutch flywheel and all, guess he got tired of me using all the c-4 trannys I went through, had his helper pull it for me, sadly some young idiot robbed and killed him for $700.00, he missed the $8000.00 in cash Francis had in his bib overalls, man I sure do miss him and that junkyard:(.

My Comet has a 347 stroker with 3.55 gears. its a pain to drive on the highway. its a street strip car. more street than strip though. still cant decide what to do.

You need an AOD or T5. Just need to decide and bite the bullet.
