Pinto front section..

    You can make it work but you probably will have to hack up car some, Did a Falcon with stock must II crossmember and another with a TCI Mustang II kit swore I would never use an stock setup again.

    the spindles will work with our stock upper and lower control arms but the springs are too short they just kinda flop around in there.
    I bought that same set up thinking I could swap to disc brakes easily WRONG. first thing I didnt pay attention the rotors were 4 lug not 5 lug. then the cross member is like an inch and a half or two too narrow. I didnt try to use the control arms but I think at least the top one will work. it bolts up the same way I dont know if it lines up with the holes already there on our cars.
    the bottom I dont know it looks a little short like it wouldnt go out away from the frame enough for a tire to fit with the way our fender wells are.

    Im glad I didnt pay but $125 I think but I made up on other parts I bought from the same guy.
    dont buy it. just buy spindles and caliper brackets nothing more off of a granada monarch even t birds look like theyll work.
    I was at pick n pull a while back and just by looking at anything ford I saw a bunch of different options that looked like theyll work.
    all you need are the brackets for the calipers (then you go buy new loaded calipers) then you buy the spindles that already have a disc break set up. if the rotors are good buy them if not leave em just remember the year make and model of the car you took the parts off of because thats what youll be buying parts for even though theyre going on a comet or maverick

    Pinto Mustang II spindles are front steer maverick is rear steer spindles can only be used if everything changed cross member included

    Mustang II/Pinto spindles work great but you have to completely change the front suspension over to match the front steer spindles as Falcenac mentioned. I used a crossmember built by Full Tilt Street Rods in Colorado to do my 69.5 (y)

    damn yours looks like a nice set-up...a lot of work i don't think i have the time for this winter as i already got big plans :(
    maybe next winter it'll be done..or ill just buy a kit if i ever get rich.

    Thanks, it was indeed a lot of work and time invested :)

    I checked my records and the main cost was the crossmember kit plus the tubular lower A-frames shipped to my door from Colorado at 585.00. The forged spindles, manual rack, steering column u-joints and bolt on disc brake brackets were found seperately from Ebay or on line stores as I had the money. The stock upper A-frames were bought used for 40 bucks. Since then, I replaced them with tubular ones also. A little bit at a time as money became available :tiphat:
