71 MAVERICK non AC heater box compatibility

    I recently found that my heater box "lid" is dilapidated and am looking into local junkyards for a replacement. What year of non ac mavericks will fit?

    The vents at the end of the 1974-up unit won't correspond with his lower dash tray.

    Thanks all for the help. I decided to just rebuild my old box with epoxy and aluminum straps for reinforcement and it turned out perfect.:tiphat:

    I used a complete 75 box in my 71 Grabber. had to change the cables since they were different. I don't recall any other issues with the swap. Perhaps I used the 71 Front Half and just the 75 back?
