L6 vs 5.0L ho?

    I have a maverick 70 with one 250 l6, I want to know if the ring GEAR is same débalancement 50oz like it 5.0L Ho 1988

    because I would like to install the transmission c4 from my 6 cylinders 250, on my the 5.0L Ho. do you know.
    do you know which ring GEAR I must use?

    The 250 C4 is the same as a 302 C4. The flex plate is different so you will need the 302 flex plate. The "Ring Gear" is inside the rear end.

    are you sure the '70 has a 250 and not a 170/200 in it?
    is it a '70 or '69.5?

    Ring gear is also the correct term for the replaceable gear on a manual trans flywheel... While not really correct, sometimes it's used when referring to a automatic flexplate as well...

    Considering he's from Quebec, and some french words don't translate to english the same..
    You'll need to match the flex plate (ring gear) to the balance of the V8 you use.

    my transmission is a c4 and my engine is a 250 is not the original engine.
    what flexplate i needed to put my 5.0L ho 1988 to put it on my c4 250 transmission?? :hmmm:

    Hays 12-040 - Hays Heavy-Duty Flexplates it is the product i needed???
