so I've been slowly getting the back half of my drivetrain together in the comet, and one of the last items to check off the list is a new driveshaft. I was going to pony up for an aluminum one from ie driveshaft, but I was told sn95 mustang shafts fit our cars. if that's the case, wouldn't one of those sweet a$$ ford racing pieces for a 96-04 work? I thought the mustang ones used a flange type mount at the diff as opposed to the u bolt type my 9" uses. anyone wanna weigh in on this?
has to be swapped for the...u bolt type... depends on the yoke on the 9" as to if it will fit then (too long/short).
makes sense... I kinda figured the late model mustangs used the flange type end. ill probably be better off spec'ing one from ie.
