I will soon be doing a small bumper conversion on a 75. I have all necessary parts, however the rear bumper mounts are quite rusty, but usable if needed. These are the mounts that bolt to the bumper with carriage bolts and then bolt to the car. I was wondering if anyone could definitively tell me if there is a particular Mustang year that could provide a suitable replacement. I once heard that a 71 Mustang would work but I thought it would be better to ask here for something more definate. Thanks
Thanks Frank, I believe I do. Looking at the photo the trunk floor mounts I have look like the more elongated set of brackets in the picture. I think though that they were originally for a 71 Mustang, but they look pretty much identical to the longer brackets in the picture. Thanks for the photo Jeff.
I am going to be doing a small bumper conversion on Isaac's 76. Where would I buy the brackets that are to be welded to the trunk floor? What do origional ones look like? Anybody have a picture of the trunk of a 70-72? thanks
