Can anyone tell me if the stock Maverick hood and trunk latch assemblies interchange with something else? Like a Mustang maybe?

I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything.

    Thanks,
    Glenn

I do know that a electric trunk release from a Fox body Coupe will fit in a Maverick. Do not know about a hood release.

I have never found anything that is close to the hood latch, and was unaware of the fox trunk latch, but that is awesome!

Nick Dominic is using one from a Lincoln. Said its the same latch, just had to grind a couple corners I believe.

I am using an electronic trunk latch from a mid 70's Lincoln or Thunderbird that bolts in with two of the three bolts and needs minimal grinding of a section of the latch. I used the Lincoln/Thunderbird factory trunk release button that was mounted in the glove compartment and made my own bracket that mounts under the dash that bolts to factory holes and blends in to look factory. The latch itself looks factory once installed. I will try to write an article, I took pictures of the install. I have some extras that I can sell to anyone that is interested.
