I need a new accelarator cable,suggestions :/

    Hey guys,it's me again,I'm in need of some help or advice :/ I snapped the accelarator cable today while pumping gas to start my 72 comet gt that ran out of gas,like i got it started but I idle rolled it home and now I need some help finding a cable that will work to replace the stock one. Would really appreciate some links or advice,thanks guys :/

    Would it work?isee some on summit for like 30-40 but they are for a v8 which mine is,that seems like its specific for a v6?

    They made 4 different cables with two different style ends for the Maverick/Comet. One has a ball/socket and the other an eye/pin where it connects at the pedal. The eBay link above is the ball/socket style. The V8 cable is shorter than the I6 cable.

    I believe mine is the pin for the v8

    I've just been using the universal ones you get from autozone/oreilly with the steel braided sleeve... cut to fit.

    Got the thing fixed with a universal cable from specre,had to buy the cable along with the damn adaptor for it.I'm not a big fan of how it feels though,also took a lot of cutting and jerry rigging,would definetly go with stock next time or might replace it later on.

    i need the ball and socket cable and would love to get another one cus i reeaally dont like this aftermarket setup.

    throttle cable for 72 6 cylinder

    this came off a 72 Comet with 6cyl.. it has the ball and socket on one end and the hole for a pin on other end
    send pm if still interested - not sure whats fair .. $45 plus shipping?

    That's the same one I pulled off my 75 and put on my 70. The 70 throttle cable was awful lol

    looks good but idk what that bracket is for?mine didnt have that,and i believe the I6 cables are shorter?not sure,ill look into it and get back to you,but it seems fair for 45,the universal ran like 30 plus 30 for the adapter

    this definitely came off of a 72 Comet 6 cyl.. the cable was curled to show both ends. the bracket bolts to the block
