Ok so I cannot for the life of me find a replacement pcv hose for my 250ci inline 6. The hose needs to have a pre-formed 90 degree bend in it. The one i currently have is old and goes soft with vacuum pressure. Anyone know of a replacement hose out there or interchangeable part? In my searches I continue to find a PCV valve elbow that I guess would take care of the 90 degree angle and I could just get some hose cut? thanks in advance
I think the brand is dorman or something- but do I then just get a section of hose cut to the right length? How do I know where to get the proper hose type?
Will the elbow attach directly to the valve? Or do I need a short piece of hose to connect it to the valve, and then another loner piece if hose to connect under the air filter? Thanks again
The elbow I have does not fit snuggly on the valve at all. It's supposed to be the correct part however it doesn't fit. Does the elbow you use have two openings coming off of it like an F or just one in and one out? Thx again?
If you need the plastic elbow for your pcv there are other pcv's at your local auto parts store that have the size you need. Just get the valve and use that elbow on yours. Ron
Thx for the heads up. I found an elbow that fit and right now I think I'm good to go!!! So excited to finally not hear the squeaking sound of a collapsing hose! Thanks all for your assistance, much appreciated
Napa has the elbows. There is one that has a single ⅜" nipple and there is another that has 2 nipples, one ⅜" and I believe a ⅛" ( small vacuum hose size ). They both fit right over the PCV valve.
GM uses a 3/8 90 degree formed hose. I recently switched to one on my Grabber. You have to use a 3/8 PCV valve too. The 302 V8 uses a 5/8 connector on the PCV valve so I had to switch to a 3/8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCV-Hose-Cl...Parts_Accessories&hash=item53fd8311a9&vxp=mtr
