I have to apologize. I posted my first thread a couple weeks ago and did not introduce myself. (1957 Ford Gunmetal Gray). Mama came home and explained the proper etiquette when posting your first. (Stefan says introduce yourself).So.. Bought a 71 Grabber in 74. $1300--33,000mi. Put a 4 barrel and manifold on it and shortly after a new clutch. Sold it 5 months later when my insurance company met the DMV. Owned 2 Mavs during the 80"s as daily drivers. Bought a 72 Grabber in dec 14. Purchased 2 parts cars since, a 72 V8 4dr and a 70 2 dr. Going to start on it this summer. I'm amazed at the technical info provided on this forum even if I don't understand it all the time. (I'm the simple type who Crazy Larry talked about when discussing carbs) I would put sad or smiley faces with this post but don't have a clue how to do it. Once again excuse my rudeness.
Welcome to the forum Hollis. Where you find a car w/ 33K miles? After a few more post, you will be able to submit some pictures; good luck w/ your project.
Welcome to the forum! Half of my time is spent near you in Chetek. My car currently makes it there a couple times a year and will eventually become a full time resident. Maybe I will see you around. Take care, Joe
from Atlantic Canada! Can't wait to see what you're working on... I don't think you're rude. Great to have you here.
from central VA! I'm not sure exactly what 1957 Gunmetal Gray looks like but here is a '73 Comet that I used to own that is currently for sale. It was originally red but the guy that currently owns it painted it some type of gray because he said he already had the paint. I think the color looks pretty good on the car. https://danville.craigslist.org/cto/5569026113.html
I'm a few hours southeast of you. Around labor day there is a nice car show at Lake Arrowhead, that benefits the Honor Flight program for the vets. I generally make that one. Maybe I'll run into you sometime.
