1970 gas tank

    someone please point me in the right direction on what i can do to replace my fuel tank on my 70 maverick go with a mustang if so what year is the easiest or if a fuel cell works best which one and how you guys did it.

    Most radiator shops can clean/reline your tank or have them boil it out and you can reline the tank youself with Red-Koat. Where in Ga are you? I have an extra 70 tank that needs repaired if yours is too far gone.

    I called 2 radiator shops and was quoted around $225 from one and the other stated $195 and up. First one said that would be to boil and clean the tank, weld up holes and install a liner. The second was to boil and clean the tank and weld up the holes. The liner would be an additional charge.

    at that price an aftermarket fuel cell isnt a half bad option... if youre not going for factory original... just throwing out thoughts

    have a nice fuel tank now thanks to a great couple of maverick board brothers
