    I have a 1973 Mercury Comet 2 door--needs a trunk lid--will a 1971 Ford Maverick 2 door trunk lid fit my 1973??

    thanks in advance

Yupper. Any 2 door Maverick or Comet trunk lid is the same for all the years.

ALL 2 doors are the same and all 4 doors are the same. If your 71 Maverick had a spolier, it may look different, but remove the spolier and it is the same.

Mavaholic is right...only two different decklids made. A two-door one and a four-door one for all Mavericks and Comets. The decklid spoilers did make them look very different though.

ahh! theres the difference! my mav is a 2 door (no grabber spoiler) and my comet was (now crushed) a 4 door! so the 4 door model does not have a sharp end to it like the 2 door version, it has a more rounded look to it correct?
