Just bought my first 71 Comet GT and been looking for the glove box for 3 days now..... now I know why
Well, I just purchased a 71 Grabber that has the tray...AND a glove box. Actually, it just a door that is hinged at the bottom. The screws mount on the tray and there is a striker on the bottom of the dash. The button on the door is even lockable. I haven't checked yet to see if the keys work in it. This is a factory a/c car so it has the vents in the tray and the glove box door fits around it perfectly. At first glance I thought it was something someone had made but I really think it is a Ford item. Probably a dealer accessory. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the car or not but I'll definitely keep this glove box door assy. Has anyone else seen one of these?
Looks great! I have not ever seen one like that myself. How about a few more pics of the new car? And now that you bring this post back up, I still haven't seen ANY tray or brkts that some people were going to help me with.
He still has pics posted on the auction. The car was only 100 miles from me so I couldn't resist and now I don't even know what I'm going to do with it : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4649886065&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT
You could sell it to me for small monthly payments Of course I would probobly have to pay for the rest of my life so... I'll think about it . VERRY SWEET RIDE, dude.(Kevin, isn't it?)
Yeah Gene...I could. The down payment might hurt a bit though. (Something like $3595.00) I would have no problem financing the remainder for you. I have a few things I wanna do to it and the paint isn't as good as it looks in the pics so I'll either try doing a little buffing or I may just reshoot the entire car one weekend. The paintjob is only about 2 months old but I wasn't impressed very much. It still seems to be a good car, drives and runs good. I'm gonna put some Grabber caps and trim rings back on it and get rid of those Mustang ones.
