It's nice to see our cars are getting recognized and remembered by the public. I'm just excited that there are 1:24 scale models available, and the Grabber addition is nice. Yeah, I'm sure the model year '72 would be the best "Grabber" to create, but I'm just glad that they created a Maverick in the first place!
Well, they have the basic body now. I'm betting they'll soon have a Sprint, Stallion, and hopefully 71/72 Grabbers since they'll have to change the hood (and small bumbers). At any rate they are moving in the right direction!
If you pull the bumpers off, they have a front and rear valance (my front bumper fell off when I had the car in my pocket while eating ice cream at the Round-up) So it would be an easy change to make small bumpers and a different hood.
the big bumper maverick doesnt hace the right 1/4 extensions for a small bumper swap though. the front end should be no problem though
Cool...and I could steal one of the rear bumpers from one of the Comet versions. Hmmm...wonder if Maverick Man could make us a carbon fiber Grabber hood for these??? Heck...might as well go for the bumpers too!!! :bananaman
It's true, the Stallion is coming out later in the year. (or at least that is the projected timeline ) They might as well use up all the big bumper versions/styles first before working on the 70-72 versions. So far, it's not out of the question so sometime in the future, we may see what we are all waiting for. At least it sounds like they are trying to get everyone covered. One step at a time... Jay.....
Hmmm, but it's only been 3 weeks since Stefan posted this message: The mail is evidently running a little slow...surely it's on the way.
I'm not sure we got much of a deal last time with the 1:64 mavericks. What did it come out to, like a $1.70 each for the case plus shipping. It was more convienence than a deal so to speak. However, the set of four 1:24 Maverick Grabbers at $36.00 plus shipping sounds reasonable. She (Yu) charged me $10.00 for shipping to Chicago from Cali. So, $11.50 per car shipped seems like a pretty good deal to me. A few bucks cheaper than Evil-bay ($20.00+ per car shipped on average) and much better than waiting for them to show up at WalFart. If they would ever show up... All the Wallys' in my area still have shelves full of Pintos. It could be Years before I would see them here. My ...
