I will speak on Doug's behalf and say that I am sure he could use some help in hosting this big event. If anybody is interested in helping Doug out, please email him.

I finally get to go to one. Thanks Doug.

How about a Maverick cruise through the Hill Country?

I am sure Doug is open to ideas on what activities to do that week, as well as help in general for hosting the event. I suggest you contact him.

I would try to make the drive, but in July, with no AC, that it a LONG way from Houston. Might just have to tow the heap on in, then drive it around town.

Ted: I plan on us seeing some of the hill country, especially on the early arrival days when we can go on some more distant adventures. You can plan on Dripping Springs and the Salt Lick!

By the way, we've got a Texas Mini-Meet in Katy this Saturday if you can make it--Texas Mini-Meet

Oh, I will be making it, I have no excuse for missing it when it is this close.

I have not been to one since Owensboro, KY, and we were just passing through on drag night, which was pretty cool!

How about a few laps around the new F1 track. Driveway Austin Motorsports park, or even a local dragstrip. Another group used Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos and enjoyed it a lot. Texas Spokes Sports car club might have some ideas as well. Anything I can do to help? I can research.

1,040 miles, heck that is just 3 tanks of gas...each way that is! Less than 900 miles on the interstate, and about 150 after that. But I'm with Scooper, July, Texas, NO A/C, plastic seats....ugghhhh, Trailer Queen for sure, so that means 75 gallons of fuel each way...that is $600 in fuel alone. GOT to get better fuel economy! Hope you guys have a great time!
