Alright, my drive home from FL to CA might need a little more power than my current 250 will be able to handle. However, i already bought EVERYTHING for the 250 (dumba** i know). If im going to go to a 302 what parts are interchangeable...? I got a 4 core aluminum radiator i know i can use with it...what about the 100 amp alternator and the mini starter i got? I think everything else i got is internals i know i cant use... Thanks again guys...
I'm not sure why you don't feel your 250 will make it to California, but I will assure you it certainly can! A 250 has plenty of power! At least mine does and it's totally stock! If you're heart set on an engine swap, there are tons of posts on it. Sorry, I don't know interchanges offhand, but dig around a little on the forums and you'll find your answer!
you will need V8 frame mounts, V8 trans crossmember and a V8 throttle cable to start. Im doing the same swap.
