I was wondering if anyone here could help me on this, I have a 72 Maverick with the 200 6 cylinder with a 3 speed transmission. I don't have the part# for the clutch release lever for it which I am looking for one. This is also called a clutch fork by some people the fork that pushes the throwout bearing. Also was wondering if any other release lever will interchange on this car have noticed the Mustang had one that looks similar but sometimes that does not always mean it will work because of a difference in the throw of them etc. If anyone has the part# would appreaciate it.

I'd bet one of the Mustang parts is the same. Different year Mustang levers had different lower rods and pivot mounts. I would take your fork to a Mustang supply house and see if they can match it up. Or take some pictures of your fork beside a ruler and email them to a Mustang house.

DODZ-7515-A for 170/200 engines ... according to the parts guide it is not used on any other Ford car ....

    The 302 Part # is D0DZ-7515-B .... that is the same as a Mustang 250/302/351 1970 Mustang ....

Post an ad in the wanted section .. somebody should have one ...

That's interesting. Usually Ford tries to use the same part in a bunch of different cars.

Thanks for the part# as I had no way of finding it as I have no books for my car and my local Ford dealership looked at my funny when I asked them to look it up for me, basically they did not want to be bothered I think. Finding this forum was the best thing I could have done to get me on the way to fixing up my Maverick.
