Hey guys, does anyone know if it is physically possible to fit a 351 C in a 1973 2-dr. Maverick!? If so, does there need to be any customization to the engine compartment!? Thanks.

i havnt done it yet, but im going to. others have.
check some other post like "351c headers"
a cleveland will go pretty much where ever a 351 windsor will go.
they say the best headers are from tubular automotive.
and its best to have the shock towers trimmed back for header bolts and spark plug removal.
    good luck

Where in Michigan do you live? We are in Greenville and you are more than welcome to see how nicely a Cleveland fits in a Maverick(and who needs headers...manifolds work great!)

I'm in Grand Rapids actually, so not that far from you! Haha, I heard through the grape vines that headers weren't needed either. I'm at school right now so i'm actually in Mt. Pleasant but if there was anyway you could send me a picture or 2, that would be great! I really appreciate it!

There are variables in manifolds between years and models. So all stock manifolds may not fit...
The ones I have used needed a great deal of grinding to fit.

As an example, the red lines point to bumps, knots, ribs, and ridges that are surplus bulk that needs grinding off. As small as these protrusions seem, fitment is that tight.
