46" Wide Rear End Needed

I need a 46" wide rear end in either 8" or 9" Ford to fit in a street rod I'm building, do you guys know where I can find data for the overall width of 8" or 9" rear ends? I'm getting all kinds of dimensions off diff websites, but have heard a 1974 Maverick is 46.5" wide? Any truth?

Maverick rear ends, wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface are 56.5 inches long. The housing itself is about 51 inches.

Ford did not make one shorter.

If you need one that short, you'll have to have one shortened or buy one already shortened.

 

If you have to have it 46" it will be custom. Currie can buid you an 8" or 9" any way you want.
